About this item
This is a pair of cufflinks fashioned in Dichroic Glass. The glass cabochons are mounted on gold coloured cuff link mounts. Each piece sparkles with Reds & Golds and catches the light beautifully. Each cabochon is made from two pieces of hand-cut glass. The base is a piece of dichroic glass and the cap is clear. They are fused in our kiln to around 800C which is enough to melt the glass pieces together to form a single piece. Once cooled we glue the cabochons onto the mounts. The glass is approximately 2.3 cm square. As all glass is hand-cut in our home studio in Shropshire the two cuff links will not be totally identical, but be assured that they make a great pair. These cufflinks will be shipped in a presentation box. The final pictures show the cufflinks with the matching tie-pin which can be purchased at additional cost. Take a look in the Studs & Brooches aisle in the shop.

Most jewellery we make is designed mainly for ladies (of any age). It was satisfying to make something for the gentlemen. I don't often wear cuff links, but was gifted a pair of Murano Glass cuff links by our son to wear at his wedding in Verona a few years ago. They looked so beautiful that I wanted to try and make something that looked as nice - this is one of our attempts SKU: 4014
