I teach visible mending classes and had put together mending kits for the class attendees, which I then developed into these beautiful wool felt rolls. I wanted the rolls to be simple, compact and portable and yet also aesthetically pleasing. The instruction leaflet was developed as a result of the classes and includes hand- drawn illustrations.

A wool felt roll containing all you need to start your journey into visible mending.
Contained within each kit is a roll of 10 pieces of cotton fabric, mostly Japanese inspired prints, min total weight 20g, A bobbin each of perle cotton and 6 stranded embroidery floss of assorted colours, two hand stitching needles of different sizes, three pins. There will be two pieces of denim fabric, at least one will be stretch denim. Also included is a stitching and visible mending illustrated leaflet, outlining the steps involved to beautifully repair a hole in a pair of jeans.
The rolls measure 29.5 cm x 17.5 cm x 2 cm flat or 8 cm x 17.5 cm x 5.5cm when rolled up fully. The roll has room for a few more small bits of haberdashery and could be customised further. There is no end to the possibilities once you start visible mending!
I will post this using Royal Mail Standard First Class Delivery. At the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions I will aim to go to the post office twice a week. Sadly I am not currently shipping to Europe, USA or the Rest of the World. Many thanks for your interest!
