About this item
A copper, off centre, heart pendant with a length of silver wire fused along it's length. The left half has been enamelled, with low temperature enamel, in translucent dark blue. The silver is fused to the copper by using a blow torch on it until it melts and fuses to the surface, while still keeping the appearance of wire. The silver has spread more at the point of the heart so the enamel is lighter there and the other half has a coating of silver at the point of the heart. A simple design that is quite effective. I haven't used these low temperature enamels before and I think I like this translucent one better than the opaque ones. I like to keep experimenting, sadly the place I go to to use proper enamels was not available this year as so much else. The pendant measures approximately 4.5cm x 3cm and is suspended from silver grey fine leather thong which is adjustable for length.

I've been playing with enamels on these copper and silver pieces for a while, Some have been very successful and others less so. I found these low temperature enamels a while ago and finally got round to trying them out. I'm pleased with the effect of this translucent blue.
