The travel wrap is named after my Icelandic friend Lara, and the original wrap she commissioned went with her on holiday to Shetland.
Old and worn fabric that has so much memory and is all full of story often gets put away, forgotten about, these needle wraps have been made to remember and cherish, to be used and not kept for best or fancy.
Please note that while the fabric is carefully sourced, and then washed, the fabric used is salvaged and re-purposed and may have some marks and wear on the fabric often found on vintage linens.
Postage is calculated using the Royal Mail website, any excess postage paid will of course be refunded.
During higher tiers and lockdowns, I am listing a longer than usual time allowance for posting although items are generally posted within a few days

Made from time softened and re-purposed vintage furnishing fabric, the Lara travel wrap is the perfect place to store an assortment of needles,crochet hooks, gauges and scissors when you go off on an adventure or holiday.
The front row of pockets provide plenty of space to store a project or twos worth of double pointed needles, crochet hooks or shawl needles, with two spaces wide enough to store a needle gauge and scissors, with the first three pockets sewn shallow for interchangeable needle tips. There's then four deep pockets tucked behind them to store cables and fixed circular needles.
The wrap folds in half and is held secure with a length of luxurious dark grey velvet ribbon.
The needle wrap and all pockets are fully lined.
The main fabric is a light weight union linen floral print in shades of red,blue,apricot and silver on a teal blue/green background.

The wrap measures 23 cm wide x 24 cm high (9 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches) with the flap down, and then 11.5 x 23 cm (4 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches) when folded over.
