We're always picking wild flowers in our woodland and never seem to have the perfect vessel to display them in - either for pleasure or identification - so having found an unusual lump of Sycamore saved on my workbench I turned this small vase for single blooms or tiny flowers.
The wood came from Northaw in Hertfordshire years ago and I kept some odd shaped pieces simply because the grain had an amazing fluidity to it, probably because it was a garden tree and had been constantly hacked at by the owner! The shape of the lump, roughly triangular led to the shape and I've shown it here with Forget-me-nots looking enchantingly romantic...

Full description
A Bud Vase turned from some silky Sycamore in a contemporary style with two lines burnt black by friction. It has a flowing grain with pretty knots and undulations. Ideal for buttonholes and corsages, spring flowers - muscari, snowdrops, miniature daffodils,crocus, primroses, violets & wild flowers & grasses, buds & blossoms, botanicals and attractive feathers!
Looks perfect in a bedroom, on a mantelpiece, a glass shelf for traditional or contemporary decoration in any setting.
This lovely conical wooden vase measures 9cm tall, 5cm diameter at the base and contains glass test tube insert 7.5cm tall,1cm diameter to hold water.
Buff with a soft duster or polish with beeswax and buff to a soft sheen.
