Colourful Hummingbird Brooch all handstitched using bead embroidery techniques.
How its made:-
The image is transferred onto a white base know as a beading foundation. The hummingbird outline and body is then all handstitched using bead embroidery techniques using a variety of Czech and Toho seed beads in varying sizes.
There is an array of colours from purple, gold, turquoise, emerald, blue and gold. The hummingbirds eye is a faceted hematite gemstone bead that reflects the light.
The final stages are to carefully trim around the stitching and glue on a black felt type backing and brooch back.
Approx dimensions 7.5cm widest and 7cm deep.
Hummingbirds have a long history of symbolism and folklore for example in Native American culture, they are seen as healers and bringers of love and joy. In Central America, they are a symbolise love and will bring love to the person who spots them
Comes presented in an organza bag.
This item is not faulty but is reduced with being older stock clearance.
