This quarter bound book has been created using traditional bookbinding methods, it is completely handmade, all papers have been: cut, folded, sewn, rounded and then cased by hand.
I have made the spine book-cloth out of a washed out cotton fabric (recycled bed sheet), which I have dyed with Indigo. I have then carefully smocked the spine with indigo dyed thread in order to embellish it. The book boards are covered with a quality olive pastel paper (canson mi-teintes).
This book contains 115 pages of assorted recycled or scavenged papers and 5 handmade envelopes.
Measurements: height 15 cm width 11.5 cm and depth 2 cm ( approx: 6 " x 4 1/2" x 1")
