I enjoy playing with melting silver wire onto copper, it always surprises me. There are times when, for some reason, the silver refuses to attach itself to the copper but mostly I get really interesting effects. I'm very pleased with the cloud effect on this one.

Full description
A copper pendant with a line of silver fused to it at an oblique angle. After fusing, the pendant is cleaned and then re-heated to form a patina on the copper. This time the pattern reminded me of gas giant planets. The silver line has pools of melted silver along it's length adding to the storm cloud effect. The pendant measures approximately 2.5 cm across with the silver wire extending a little beyond the edge at each end. The circular pendant has a pierced tag at the top and a copper jump ring is attached to this and hangs from a fine deep red cotton cord which is adjustable for length by means of two sliding knots, maximum length approximately 65cm.
