All my designs are Inspired by Scandinavian and mid century pattern and colour. I love the simplistic aesthetic and try to create this in my work. My idea for this 'Little Elephant' design came from the amazingly ornate elephants in Indian celebrations. This alongside the fabulous strong vibrant colours you see within India culture really sparked an idea in my head. This little pair has actually been sat in my sketchbook for a while and thanks to a bespoke request from a loyal customer for an elephant card I finally got him out of the sketchbook.
All my cards and prints I design start life as a little sketch in my sketchbook, the designs are then cut in lino and printed by me so the patterns have a beautiful, simple block print style that is retained in the final card design. The vibrant colour combinations are added digitally before the final cards are printed.
All designs are created in my little studio by the sea and handmade by me.
