Handcrafted Bronze box, created from bronze metal clay, then kiln fired in activated coconut charcoal and hand burnished and polished. Lid is loose free fitting. Size Width 4.75cm by Depth 4.5cm, Height 2.5cm. Bronze does take on its own colouring over time and may develope a form of verdigri. Regular cleaning of the item can prevent or reduce this. I have noticed that during the firing process a small hairline crack did appear on the inside of the box, and this is reflected in the price of £25. The correct price, had it been perfect, would be £40.

This little box was an experiment, just to see if I could make a box. It was also a new brand of bronze metal clay so a first using that too. This little box was definately a learning curve, not just with structure and size, but also a new firing technique. As a result of this bronze box, I went on to make the celtic style copper box.
