Merry Christmas one and all. My shop is now closed until the New Year. Thank you everyone who has shopped with me throughout 2023.

I started making vases, and carving their surface. I love to work outside and as I worked with them, I saw the the light was shining through the carvings, and started working on the idea of tea light holders.

As you can see from the photo, the light is beautifully diffused through the carved porcelain. My inspiration was the waves on water, although you may also see shoals of fishes.

I've made this cylinder tealight holder. I carve each one of these, and the nature of porcelain means that the candle light is diffused through the carvings. This particular tea light holder is inspired by waves on the water, and as you can see from the photograph of it lit at night, it diffuses the light so it almost looks blurred.

Each cylinder is approximately 6cm wide and 6.5cms high. As each one is made individually, these are approximate measurements, but you can have an idea of scale in relation to the tea light.

These images are representative of what you will receive, but it won't look exactly the same.

I love to make things: I am not so keen on taking photos, so I don't photograph each one I make!

These are glazed inside and out so that you can wipe out wax should you need to, and to reflect the shine of the tealight flame. Each item is sent out to you in a gift box, and "signed for" to ensure it arrives with you safely.
