About this item
I have carved this little toadstool out of piece of Oak Heart wood. Heart wood comes from the centre of the tree which makes it dense and gives a lovely dark, rustic colour. The toadstool has been 'axe' carved and it's original markings accentuated using a 'burning' technique. It has been protected in an outdoor oil. The toadstool is approx 18cm tall and 7cm x 7cm across the base. It is perfectly happy to be displayed in your garden or indoors; for longevity I recommend protecting it from direct sunlight.
