13 cm x 15 cm approx.
This chicken is made from a special clay suitable for raku firing. After the first firing it is decorated with glazes and the design drawn through. It is put in my gas fired kiln and fired to 1000 degrees. The kiln is opened and the piece taken out glowing red hot. It is placed into saw dust which burns and creates the special glaze results, which can be any thing from copper to turquoise, greens and reds.
