Before I was making my own glass I was always drawn to stained glass robins at Christmas Open Houses in Brighton. Fast forward, and I decided to make some of my own, using as simplified a geometric design as possible to add a 60s / retro feel.
I was lucky enough to get some of my robins accepted by a local gallery, which in turn inspired me to focus on glasswork more seriously. So these simple little birds have marked the beginning of something new for me, hence the name of my Folksy Shop!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A robin certainly isn't just for Christmas! Just like the real thing, these hand made stained glass robin decorations can bring a splash of red colour to your window or garden, or make a perfect gift for bird and nature lovers.
Each robin is slightly different in its shape, colour mix and beak, so no one else will have a bird quite like yours! The robins pictured are the birds I have right now, so please be sure to let me know which you prefer when placing your order.
Each robin is approximately 13cm long, and made in the tiffany style (cut glass, edged in foil and soldered) before the solder is finished in black patina to give a traditional stained glass effect.
The birds are finished with a solder beak and a wire hanging hook.
