I was over the moon with how this bowl came out as the top glaze has been applied using a slip trailer and for those of you that don't know what that is, it's kind like a ceramic version of a cake piping bag. It allows for a much more refined placing of the glaze and in this case I wanted it to create delicate lines as it flowed through the base glaze to form this unique pattern in the centre.
Please see the 'About' section where you'll see photos of me creating with clay in my home studio and some of my latest creations. You'll also find a link to my blog, Instagram and Facebook.

Full description
This gorgeous Yorkshire handmade pottery bowl has a blue base glaze which could be described as duck egg blue, turquoise or teal, depending on the light. It acts as the perfect backdrop for the top glaze, in blue-grey, which flows through it to create these unique patterns as it flows towards the centre.
About my pottery - I use my pottery sales to help raise funds for animal rescue charities - Friends of Ferals and World Animal Friends both and to fund my hobby. I have a home studio in Yorkshire (see the 'About section) Each piece is lovingly made and totally unique. I use stoneware clay, which is extremely hard wearing and make my own glazes from scratch and also use commercial glazes too.
How to look after your handmade pottery - My handmade pottery is robust as well as beautiful, dishwasher safe although hand washing is kinder and microwave safe except for pieces with metallic lustre.
Packaging - I take time to wrap each piece carefully (I've shipped all over the world and never lost a piece yet!) I'm gradually transitioning to sustainable packaging as I strongly believe in sustainable living and recycling so all my postage boxes are recycled. I usually ship next day but please allow 2-3 working days for shipping.
