About this item
This Beaded Beasties box frame might be described as darkly mysterious! Night is falling and everything is caught in a half-light. The evening sky has a shiny purple moon and a silver cloud scattered with holographic stars. Look carefully over the moon's surface and behind the cloud and you will see a fine film of silver-grey gauze. The beautiful black dragonfly is made of mainly new beads in a combination of acrylic crystal, pearl and iridescent glass giving glints of turquoise and gold. The wings are printed on acetate. Below is a landscape in shadow with umbellifer plants silhouetted and touched with flashes of gold and purple cut from recycled card. Everything is mounted against a richly coloured printed background. The black box frame is 27cm (10.5 ins) square and 33mm deep. There is a hanging hook on the back. Every Beaded Beasties box frame is unique. UK postage is included in the price.

These beads in shades of black and grey prompted me to create a night scene playing with the idea of shadow, reflected light and a landscape in silhouette.
