Meet Maria. She is a tilda type tall thin dolly of approximately 57cm and is made from tea dyed cotton. She looks very dashing in her bright blue Pill-box hat trimmed with peach netting and a purple sparkly bow at the back, over her long strawberry blond hair worn to her shoulders, a blue, peach and grey woollen cape coat with a bright blue silky lining and a black Chinese fastener at the front, compliments her look. Her dress is a peach coloured crumpled taffeta material and falls to blow her knees. Her stockings are black and white with black shoes and pretty white turquoise and white bows. She carries a matching black padded shoulder bag with a blue rose fastener and bright blue rim to complete her outfit. She really does think she looks very dapper, dreaming about wondering around all the lovely shops and bars in the big City.
Actually, she is only day-dreaming and would much prefer to be sitting on a shelf or dresser looking pretty, enhancing any room in your home with a splash of colour. Listening to all the comings and goings of the household and whilst she is not much of a conversationalist, she is great company and you can tell her any of your little secrets – they are absolutely safe with Maria as she will never tell a soul!
