About this item
These six, oval shaped, beauties were rescued from a 1970’s dress. The latte/ mushroom coloured, domed middle section is surrounded by a golden coloured ring. They are made from acrylic but are very strong and robust and machine wash very well. Partner them with a whole range of colours from chocolaty browns to bright oranges and reds. With each paring these mushroom and gold buttons compliment the main colour. The shank at the back of each button was cast as part of the back plate and this makes it very strong. Each button is 19mm lengthwise and about 14mm width. I have THOUSANDS of buttons, all sorted and attached to cards, and I will be listing them as often as I can. If you don't find the ones you like this week, please try again next week, or the week after. Of course, if you don't have the time for that, but you know what you are looking for, or even just have an inkling of an idea, contact me with your request and I will search through all the collection for you. My mother and grandmother both had stashes of buttons, most of which were purchased before I was born (and I remember the ‘Swinging 60’s’!). I used to love to play with the buttons, plunging my tiny hands into the tins and jars of multi-coloured 'gems'. I spent hours sorting them into coloured piles, size relation piles, design piles and any other pile I could think of.
