This plain leather dog lead is made using dark brown quality Italian leather. The edges are bevelled and burnished smooth so that there are no rough edges to catch on either you or your dog. The clip is a silver (nickel-plated) swivel trigger hook fastener. Leads are approximately 102-110cm (40-44inches) long by 1.9cm (3/4inches) wide, including the clip, and a folded over leather loop for your hand. The handle and clip are stitched into place using traditional saddle stitching. This creates a lead that is both strong and stylish.

My next-door neighbour asked me for a dog lead for a gift for someone. Unfortunately the first one I made didn't have a swivel eye clip, and the dog kept getting loose (he would twist around on his collar until the clip came undone). So I sourced some swivel eye clips instead and now I always use these on dog leads. That original dog lead is still going strong some four years later.
