My earliest designs featured dragonflies. They were a popular motif in Art Nouveau, which inspired my work.

Full description
Dragonfly trinket or jewellery box with handmade pewter lid. This little wooden box shines with a lid of silvery pewter, hand-embossed in a design of a dragonfly and set with a beautiful blue paua shell cabochon.
It had been made in the Arts and Crafts tradition of repousse, where the sheet metal is raised by hand, the raised area is filled and the design is mounted on a rigid base, in this case a wooden box lid. The metal is then oxidised and polished to a rich shine.
The dragonfly box measures 45mm high by 55mm in diameter.
It would be perfect for keeping small items of jewellery such as rings or earrings.
