Our handcrafted “Baby in a Cot” card enables you to offer a beautiful keepsake card used to welcome a new baby or to commemorate a christening/blessing. The card is designed to be remembered and can easily be showcased on a shelf or mantelpiece, or added to a treasured memory box, by the proud parents.
We’ve used an understated, gender-neutral ivory and lavender, so the card works for both sexes, or even when the arrival is an exciting surprise. An outline of a teddy bear is laser cut into the cover of the card, which when opened reveals a traditional cot with a baby and hanging mobile, along with the motif of a stork carrying a child skilfully etched into the top right corner.
A unique gift in itself, the card is made from quality FSC-certified paper, and is designed to provoke an amazing reaction from the recipient. Inside, each piece is individually laser cut and slotted together by hand, before being anchored with hand-stitched thread into the card, allowing the cot & child to ‘come to life’ when the card is opened.
Each card comes sealed, complete with an ivory envelope.
The card is approximately 10.5cm by 17.5cm (l x w) when closed, and 17.5cm by 21cm by 6cm (l x w x h) when open.
