Description

Garrowby Hill Textile Art This picture is my textile interpretation of David Hockneys Garrowby Hill, in Yorkshire Wolds. I then added free machine embroidery to add detail to the picture This picture is stretched onto an artists canvas and so is ready to hang Size 20cm x 20cm. (8" x 8") 0.5 in deep

This picture was inspired by David Hockney work of the Yorkshire Wolds. I love the perspective he has managed to achieve with the view towards York Minster on the horizon I also love the strong yellows and oranges which sum up an English landscape in summer. I love to use recycled silk scarves in my work, which I buy from local charity shops.
