I have the thank my husband for the idea for the construction of this knit. I was knitting flat tree shapes, but they didn't seem very exciting. On the point of giving up, he said why not sew them together to make a much more exciting 3-dimensional decoration. Then with a bit of decoration you have something really special. The man is a genius - no wonder I married him.

Full description

This Christmas Tree is what I would call a stash buster. It takes less than 20g of wool, and you can knit it in 4ply with 2.5mm needles, or DK with 3mm needles. It is a great way to use up any oddments of wool you have left over from other projects. It is very simple to knit: 2 needles and all knit stitches.

As you will see from my photographs, I have decorated some of my trees with embroidery and beads. But I think they also look nice plain. The pattern contains knitting and making up instructions, and directs you to my blog if you need help with the embroidery where there are photo tutorials on the embroidery stitches. (To include all these in the pattern would make the file too big.)

The pattern will be sent as a PDF to your email address within 24 hours.
