My designs are inspired by my love of the textiles work of the Sami of Northern Europe and the colourful and stylised images of the natural world in Persian manuscript paintings.

Full description
A colourful and happy image in hot pink, turquoise, orange and purple reflecting memories of a relaxing summer walk in the meadows of an alpine valley. Layers of felt, organza shot with gold, mauve chiffon and beautiful woven ribbons form the base onto which beaded stitched felt and wool-tops form the main shapes. A heat gun has been used to distort and melt the surface to increase the textures. The image is 15cm x 15cm and mounted within a white wood frame measuring 23cm x23cm and 4.5cm deep.
