Full description
These unusual little free-standing 3-D scenes are constructed from prints of my original illustrated art works. The images are built up within a handmade painted wooden frame. Each frame measures 11cm x 15cm, they are unglazed and are carefully and securely constructed. The characters and trees are hand cut from card which is then carefully sealed with several layers of protective glaze and a top layer of varnish for added stability.
They look lovely on a shelf or mantlepiece although the whimsical innocence of the images would bring a sprinkle of childhood magic to any room of the house!
This scene is within a turquoise painted frame and features a little girl posing balletically upon the back of a beautifully decorated elephant. With a final theatrical flourish I have hung tiers of brightly coloured bunting flags behind the performing duo!
Now, in no way do I advocate the exploitation of animals so I can assure everyone that no animals were hurt in the making of this 3-D artwork. Phew!
I package each frame in a sturdy box for posting. Each frame is further wrapped in bubble-wrap and various other protective materials I have to hand! Please take care however when unpacking your purchase, and be sure to hold your 3-D scene by the wooden surround only - so as not to damage the carefully constructed bunting strung across the open frame.
