This is a stained glass suncatcher entirely handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
An Ice Skate, a new design in 2013.
The body of the boot is in iridescent white glass which has a light pink shimmer and with the front lacing and the sole picked out in pretty pink.
The blade is clear glass with a frost design.
I've formed a lace from wire and added 4 little silver beads as hooks at the top.
I've finished it off with a wire bow which is securely soldered to the top and from which it hangs by a little silery chain.
The suncatcher is 4 inches in diameter.
It would make a lovely decoration for a child's room but please note that this is an ornament made of glass and not a toy.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Every one is different.
The 5th photo shows the pink version I made previously so you can see it in a different colour.
I am very happy to make a pink version if you prefer. please message me if you do.
