Full description
An item for the festive season ahead: a Victorian style christmas card. Imagery in the Victorian era at christmas was focused on looking ahead to spring and the freshness of new growth, rather than religious or wintery themes which became more popular in a later period.
The message on the front is a real delight, and fits in with this theme: “May Christmas gladden thy heart. As flowers gladden the earth”.
