Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, a time when the weather regularly makes my family housebound, and we park ourselves on the sofa, watching our favorite films and snuggling up. The very first patchwork quilt I ever made was for just this purpose, and every year my children ask when we can get it out. Now, we have a pile of quilts to choose from - but that very first one I think is special because of the time of year. Maybe that's why making Christmas patchwork quilts is a favorite of mine!

Full description
This detailed Christmas patchwork quilt is made of my favorite seasonal fabrics, lots of small stars with details for little hands to pick out - snowmen, snowflakes, Christmas trees and storybook houses. All of the fabrics are designer made and quality cottons.
I also free motion quilted the close pattern to hold the quilt top, wadding and backing together - it's not a repeated and uniform pattern like on a shop bought quilt that was made by a robot quilter! I free motion quilted this quilt myself, taking roughly four hours to do - and as you can see from the close up photographs, this leads to an unique and authentic quilt.
The whole quilt is bound in red and white dotty cotton.
Overall the quilt measures 47" by 40" - perfect for a single bed or snuggling on the sofa with The Polar Express!
Within the UK, I use Hermes courier service. Once the item is ready to post I will send you the tracking number so that you can control when, and how your parcel is delivered.
