I've been using free machine embroidery for a little while, and a customer asked if I would consider doing a grandma's and grandad's glasses case, so I worked up a few designs.

Full description
Lovely, handmade granny's glasses case for a special nanny. It would make an ideal Christmas present for a grandparent.
I've appliqued a bird and leaf design onto the case and machine embroidered 'Nanny's glasses' onto the leaf. The main fabric is a print from Laura Ashley, while the bird is a Cath Kidston fabric.
The case is padded and fully lined and I've handstitched the sides and the bird's legs. It closes with a heart-shaped ceramic button (made by a local potter) and elastic loop. It's perfect to help protect glasses and makes a very special and individual gift.
Do ask if you have any questions. I have one other personalised glasses cases listed, for Grandad (shown in one of the pictures). I cannot take on commissions for specific names at the current time.
