'199 Steps' Whitby Steps linoprint limited edition
A handpulled limited edition reduction linocut print of the famous '199 Steps' which lead up to St Mary's Church and Whitby Abbey on the North Yorkshire coast of England.
The reduction method of printmaking uses just one plate, which is further cut away after each layer is printed, so there is no going back and the print cannot be repeated. The total number of prints in this edition is ten.
It has been hand printed using oil based inks on quality 210gsm Zerkall printmaking paper. Please note that each print is individually hand printed and unique so your print may have small variations from the ones illustrated here, for instance in density of ink or additional marks picked up from the cut away parts of the plates.
This print is supplied UNFRAMED AND UNMOUNTED. The photo of a framed print is for illustrative purposes to suggest how the print could look in your home

The title, artist's signature, edition number and date are written in pencil under the image.
The copyright watermark is of course not on the actual print.
