I've recently started dressmaking, and making a tailor's ham as a pressing aid has been a huge help. I've had this button fabric from Japanese design Suzuko Koseki for some time, and this seemed a perfect use for it. Once used, you'll wonder how you ever did without a tailor's ham.

Full description
This tailor's ham has been made using a fabulous and top quality button fabric cotton on one side, and a 100 % wool from Cotswold woollen weavers on the other. The cotton is used for items needing a high temperature, while the wool side is used for cooler iron temperature items. I'll make this to order, so please allow7-8 days for that. It will be firmly packed with sawdust, a traditional stuffing for a ham. If you want a different cotton print, take a look through my items, as I have a lot of more unusual, themed cottons available.
Tailor's hams are invaluable ironing aids for those awkward to reach areas, but also as pressing aids to dressmaking. I've included a picture showing a neckline of a dress I'm currently making in place, ready to iron to show how the fabric shapes itself around the ham for ironing. It's also helpful for ironing out curved seams. This is one of those items you'll use constantly.
Size approx 8 inches length by 6 1/2 inches at its widest, narrowing down to 4 inches. I've included a photograph of a selection of some of the cotton fabrics I currently have available for making this up.
