The tale of the little lost mermaid used to be Gracie's favourite bedtime story (even though it did make her feel a little sad)
You see it wasn't only the little princess mermaid ( you know the one) who made a doomed bargain with the sea witch. Oh no ..a poor little mermaid with no royal connections at all; offered up her innocent soul for her hearts desire. Well, when the sea witch took her prize there were no grand rescues or gallant princes to be seen and the poor little mermaid was lost forever. or was she?
Every so often when a little girl or boy would be gazing at their reflection in a pond; they would almost swear they saw a little sad face staring back at them. But then it would be gone. Gracie spent many an afternoon trying to catch a glimpse of the little lost mermaid.
Open edition print taken from a pencil drawing on watercolour paper.
Image measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" on A4 sized card. Printed with archival inks on high quality bright white smooth 300gsm acid free card.
