About this item
This organic shaped dish is a perfect home for your little treasures. Made by pinching a ball of clay into a dish shape, and then impressing lace into the damp surface. The dish was then left to harden before a trip into the kiln to be bisque fired. After reaching the heady temperature of 1070 degrees. the dish was cooled and glazed, then refired. A cobalt oxide powder gives the deep, glossy blue hue and a transparent glaze seals the colour with a shiny finish. This bowl does have some surface 'crazing'. This is when thin lines appear in the clear glaze and make a crackled effect on the surface. The price reflect this little defect. The dish comes gift boxed, and posted direct to you with lots of bubble wrap.
