Full description
Turned sycamore with my favourite season for colour in mind, this vase shows a richness in colour and texture. Once turned to shape i used a hammer and punch to give the middle section a textured look whilst keeping the rest of the vase smooth. Shades of green, red, yellow and orange water based wood dyes were then applied to give the desired look. This vase is not waterproof therefore only dried flowers/twigs should be used or it would look nice just to stand on it's own! Finished with several coats of sealer and Briwax, with only an occasional wipe over with a soft cloth will keep it looking lovely for a long time. Signed and dated using English and Runic lettering.
