Full description
This decoupaged wooden box was inspired by the 1920's. On the outside I have sourced images from 1920's textile patterns, and the lid shows a French fashion illustration from the same period with a demure drawing of girls in their undies. 'Les Dessous a la Mode' translates as fashionable underwear!
The bottom of the box is decoupaged with an image from early 20th Century fabric. It has been 'distressed' with gold pigment and a tiny butterfly and a bee are also on the side.
This little box is perfect for keeping your little precious mementos, jewellery and odd bits and pieces, and would make a lovely gift.
The decoration is protected with layers of varnish and signed underneath.
