Finally tried out the frit samples that I have ben hoarding.

These beads are a custard yellow shade of effetre glass decorated with frit in a blend of shades of green.

Some of the greens have reacted with the yellow to give a dark outline around the resulting dots.

For those who have not come across this term before Frit is small pieces of glass sieved to a uniform(ish) size - to use on a bead the hot bead must be rolled in the frit which is then melted into the surface of the bead to give a random pattern of dots.

The beads measure approx 14mm x 10mm ( there is some minor variation due to their being handmade) . They were made on 1.6mm mandrels and have been fully annealed for strength and durability
