Thank you for visiting my shop. I am happy to take on commission work or repairs - please contact me for details. Thank you for choosing hand made x
I enjoy experimenting with new ideas and media. Precious Metal Clay - or PMC is a very enjoyable medium to work with and although some results can be hit and miss once a design enters the kiln, when it works, the results can be unusual and very effective. I love this organic yet modern design and plan to make similar items in the future.

Full description
This is a completely handmade ring, in fine silver which is 999 parts per 1000 pure precious metal.
I have crafted the piece using precious metal clay. The clay is cut to size and shape, following my own, modern design. The clay ring was allowed to dry naturally for several weeks, before it was carefully sanded to smooth the surface, the inside and any edges that would be rough once fired. Once the ring was finished, I then set the natural grey moonstone cabochon. The ring was left to dry naturally again, before being fired.
The firing process removes any clay minerals, leaving 999 pure silver. Once fired the ring was polished by hand, using several grades of abrasives for several hours then burnished to a soft polish sheen.
The ring maintains some markings that denote it being hand made - this was deliberate as I wanted to keep the organic flow of the ring in the finished piece.
The ring measures a UK size O according to my ring gauge. However, as it is quite a wide band, it might suit a size N or N 1/2 more comfortably. The ring contains a lot of silver and weighs 5.25g approx. It has been assayed at the London Assay office and bears my unique makers mark.
The ring will come securely packaged.
If you require postal insurance, please ask and I will inform you of the costs before making your purchase. Thanks, Jx
