Once upon a time in a seaside town in England . . .

. . . well back in 2010 actually, Wit & Whimsy's started life when one of the partners, Cate, discovered a hitherto unknown talent for creating handcrafted greetings cards after participating in a card making workshop. She co-opted a close friend, Judith, and Wit & Whimsy was born.

Shortly after Wit & Whimsy started, we began to design and create unique themed gift or trinket boxes to complement the greetings cards side of the business after noticing that there was a gap in the market for whimsical gift boxes with real personality which could be kept and used as trinket boxes after the special event was over.

We added a bespoke/custom design service after several customers asked us to design one off cards to celebrate specific occasions. We can create a unique greetings card, gift box or charm bracelet to your specifications (providing we are able to source appropriate materials). Please email us for more details or to discuss your requirements.

We work from a home studio and yes, there's a cat called Benji who provides supervision services at reasonable cost (regular meals and cuddles).

Buying from me

Wit and Whimsy creates handcrafted greetings cards, unique themed gift or trinket boxes and themed costume jewellery and accessories.

In addition to our stock designs we also offer the customer a complete bespoke service where we design and craft a one off card or gift box especially for your recipient. We also offer a bespoke wedding stationery design service to help make your special day extra special.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

1. Custom made items cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged in transit.

2. If your item arrives either faulty or damaged in transit please supply photographs of the damaged or faulty item clearly showing the damage or fault plus the damaged packaging by email to witandwhimsyuk@gmail.com within 24 hours of package arrival

3. All returns must be sent back within 48 hours of delivery.

4. Buyer pays all return postage on returns and items must be returned by a tracked and/or signed for service. If item is not returned by a tracked and/or signed for service and does not arrive we will not be able to process the refund.
