Hello and welcome to my page. I am a mixed media illustrator maker who has lived on the Fife and Kent coasts all of my life. I cannot imagine not being near the sea.
My inspirations are taken from nature - life, death and everything in-between. Experimentation and layering is what I love to do. Rural and urban foraging has always been something I've enjoyed. Recently I've been using my found treasures to experiment with sustainable techniques trying to tie memory or a story physically into my work. I'm currently enjoying experimenting with illustrative soft sculpture, mixed media collage, print, paper and stitch.
I work from a little studio in the garage in my back garden. I am also at university, an eternal student - I'm in my third year of a BA in Illustration and Animation at the University for Creative Arts in Canterbury. I'm 42 - yes it has been a scary and exhilarating time to say the least. Never too late to follow your dreams. Cheesy but true.
