I have been making pots since the 1980s. I only started to sell my pottery in 2023 when I set up my small business - White Cat Ceramics.
I make functional pottery in my garden studio using stoneware clays (smooth and speckled) thrown on a potter's wheel. I like combinations of colours, some over simple stencils to reveal the bare clay, or with flecks of colour to create a grassy, landscape effect. I am drawn to patterns in the environment which I like to incorporate in my work.
I really hope that my pots will give as much joy in the owning as they do in the making!
