As an artist printmaker, a gardener for wildlife and a committed environmentalist, I seek out insects, birds and plants during the changing seasons, to observe the interconnectedness of all things in the natural world ... the ecosystem.
All of my printmaking is inspired by what I see whilst out on a walk, in the garden and on my allotment.
My mini hand-coloured woodcuts are an accurate portrayal of the creatures I see in their natural habitat ... with accentuated colours.
My hand-printed cards are more imagined.

I draw out a design, reverse it onto wood or lino, cut it with specialist tools, then print onto artists quality printmaking paper, torn to give several deckle edges, on my hand-operated press.
I colour them with artists watercolours, then sign and title. They are original prints in (very slightly) variable un-numbered editions.

My studio is a converted double garage with a lovely view of the garden. I've been a printmaker for over 20 years and am a graduate of the Cambridge School of Art.

I especially love to see butterflies and moths when I'm out and I use butterfly-conservation.org to identify unusual ones so will donate 20% of the item price to this worthwhile charity ... they are currently raising funds to create new urban wild spaces to help declining butterfly and moth populations.
