Hello and welcome to The Paper and Ribbon Co.; a small, handmade stationery, decoration and gifts company run by a creative wife and technical husband in our little corner of the internet. Our story began back in 2016 when we took the plunge to start sharing Zara’s creative ideas with the world following lots of lovely comments at a family wedding about her handmade stationery. We opened Something Blue by Zara, our first Etsy shop in the same year and started making beautiful, handmade wedding stationery. After nurturing our small business for a few years, the pandemic put a very definite stop to weddings so we pivoted our business plans and diversified into gifts and decor for other events. Now in 2023 we are happy to be back making handcrafted wedding stationery alongside our ever growing list of other items, all from our home studio in Staffordshire, England and have rebranded our lovely little shop as The Paper and Ribbon Co., a little nod to how Zara describes her job to strangers “I handcraft pretty things out of paper and ribbon that make people happy”. Today you’ll find Zara working full time in the studio; making, crafting and designing all of our products and your orders. Alongside her is the latest addition to the team, Cosmo, our Cavapoo pup who spends his days sleeping on her feet or carefully shredding any scrap card into a million pieces. Thomas joins the fun in the evenings and weekends (when he’s not busy doing Science stuff at his day job as an Industrial Chemist) and is in charge of everything technical, he keeps the website working, printers printing and all those to-do lists up to date!
