All these gifts started from a hedgehog in my garden!

Hey there!
I'm Tahlia, I'm 25, and I live in South Wales with my little Assistant Bink (See profile picture!) and you'll probably find us in my office behind a sewing machine, or with my design tablet on my lap.

I studied textiles in Uni in Cardiff, where I found surface pattern design, but before this I live really rurally, so naturally found a lot of inspiration in my natural surroundings.

Animals and wildlife were seen regularly, and this was actually a reason for starting my business! I noticed I wasn't seeing woodland creatures much anymore, which got me interested in endangered species and what I could do to help.

During the lockdown, I put a trail camera out in my garden, built a little hedgehog house and started waiting. Months later, I finally got a visitor! He was a regular pretty much every night until the cold came, I used to watch him cronch his biscuits, trip over his food bowl and potter around at all hours.

He's actually the hedgehog walking sideways in my hedgehog pattern, and the collection got started from there. Now I include six endangered species on my website, and will be working to add more over the coming months.

I actually got lucky enough to have a partnership with the PTES supporting Hedgehog Street, a great organisation supporting hedgehogs and their conservation. This means that 5% of the profits from hedgehog products go straight to helping the hedgehogs, with more species to be added.

I do this because I love it, it combines all my favourite things (sewing, designing, organisation).

I aim to provide gorgeous gifts to you, whether that be for gifting on or keeping for yourself, that are useful and pretty, which also raising awareness of the lovely species we feature, and perhaps you'll even find a way to keep these animals in your own garden!
