I am spoon maker, currently living in East London.
I discover my love for carving spoon while attending my first Glastonbury festival in 2017. I took a short 1 hour course, carved my first spoon, and completely fell in love with it.
I only use wood from storm fell trees, which I collect by hands, with a handsaw in my local woods.
I then pack the wood in my backpack, walk back home, and use an axe to split and roughly shape the future spoon. Other hands tools are used to give the spoon its final shape and texture.
I only use hand tools to shape and create my spoons / utensils.
