Spin and thee shall wind

We spin, dye, wind and eat cake, all in the beautiful setting of Commondale in Yorkshire.

I have been involved with the group since it started around six years ago. My favourite pastime is felting either wild animals or making beautiful natural patterns on hand dyed felt. I have tried my hand at spinning the fleece but hey the others are masters at their craft, how could I compare with that?

Buying from me

The Commondale Wool Workshop use fleece mainly from Wensleydale and Blue Faced Leicester sheep from Fowl Green Farm in Yorkshire to spin, hand dye and make into special gifts, which are then sold to raise funds for Beyond Boundaries, enabling adults with learning difficulties to work on the farm.
The farm has a magical moorland setting, giving colour inspiration to the crafted items and creating the perfect atmosphere to create woollen and felted toys, household items and clothing.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
