I work with resin, eco resin and polymer clay

As well as crafting, I have an amazing family and a full time job so juggling my crafting time can be a challenge. We have a beagle too who is a complete nutter and is completely obsessed with food.

I originally started my crafting journey with polymer clay. My husband showed me a video on you tube and from there I knew I had to try it. I make small charms and keyrings and I love the way clay can be manipulated to get the desired effect.

From there I tried using resin. I started small, my first piece being a tiny teddy bear and my love of resin just grew. There are so many possibilities and ideas to create, my mind was filled with ideas, too many sometimes to make an idea a reality. I love experimenting and if it goes wrong, well just try again. After all what I might think is completely wrong, someone else will think is great. I learned that making mistakes is ok and to learn from each one to find a solution for the next piece.

I never thought of myself as an artist, but the more I make the more I think wow I’m actually doing this. I want to try new things all the time and I have to reign myself in.

I love to create. I think it’s relaxing and clears my mind. Each piece I make is made with love and sometimes they are not perfect, but that just shows they are handmade and are always unique.
