When my daughter asked me to go along to a jewellery making course I jumped at the chance, it was something I'd wanted to do for a long time. Unfortunately, it didn''t live up to my expectations so I left early and went solo teaching myself and pestering a friend constantly with my many questions.
Then friends asked me to make things for them and so I started silver nugget jewellery. The name came from one day when I over heated something, I made it too hot, it melted into a ball and I thought that it would make a cute charm. So now I save up all my cut-offs and scrap silver and melt them down to make nuggets. I make all the jewellery myself and my jewellery tends to be on the heavier, chunkier side.. I am a massive bangle fan and wear all of mine together. I love the way they jangle about and it also means I carry all my samples with me!!!
If you see something you like but want a slight variation, then please message me as I am happy to make custom orders.
I live in a small village just outside the beautiful city of Cambridge. I live with my husband, 2 daughters and my cat called Henry, when I’m not making jewellery I can be found baking cakes, sewing, swimming or cycling.
The photo was taken on a rainy evening in January at Kew Gardens light show, I am on the left in the white hat with my daughter
