Senara Jewellery

“Handcrafted jewellery. Unique designs made in Cornwall.”

Shop Announcement:

Welcome to Senara Jewellery.

I love making interesting, one of a kind jewellery from my workshop in West Cornwall.
All my pieces are hand-crafted, using authentic metals and gemstones sourced from reputable UK suppliers and genuine sea glass finds from my hikes around the Cornish coast.
I especially like to leave the seaglass in its original unique state and shape, as nature designed it, tumbled in the Atlantic waves.

About Senara Jewellery

Senara Jewellery

Unique handcrafted jewellery inspired & designed in Cornwall

Hi there!
I'm Kim, at Senara Jewellery.

I design and create handmade jewellery from my studio in West Cornwall. I specialise in silver, copper and brass. I also use semi precious stones, local Cornish sea glass and other beach combing finds.

For most of my life I have lived and worked in Cornwall. My design influences are varied, from the metal work of North Africa, the beautiful glass work of Venice, to the ancient landscape and archaeology of Cornwall and the British Isles. Myths and legends fire my imagination. I hold a deep respect and admiration for the skills and craftsmanship of my ancestors.

Even when the wind is howling across the moors and the sea is thrashing onto the rocks & beaches Cornwall is truly inspirational.
I head out most days, braced against the Westerly Winds, in search of quality pieces of sea glass.
Beautiful colours, textures and shapes, take centre stage in my designs.
These little pieces of history often have tiny air bubbles trapped for decades in the hand blown glass .
I like to leave the glass in its original form, tumbled by the sea, some shapes can be tricky to work with- but I enjoy the challenge!

There is something fulfilling and primeval about forming and forging metal. I adore the look of hammered metal especially mixed metals, copper and silver look fab together and I am always looking for new ways to add texture to my jewellery.
I have recently been working with semi precious stones such as agates and jasper. Like the sea glass all are unique.

My ethos is to create high quality, one-of-a-kind, jewellery, using traditional metal working methods, natural stones and authentic sea glass.

To wear a piece of my jewellery is to embrace and celebrate individuality.
