I’ve loved embroidery since I was a child. I’ve completed the Royal School of Needlework Certificated Course with a merit, I hold a C&G level 3 Stumpwork embroidery certificate. I’m happiest being creative and passing on those skills, teaching them to others, having achieved a certificate to teach in the lifelong learning sector.

I am constantly inspired by many things including nature and animals. I love so many art forms and I love all the varied sewing techniques. I have a Mum, she’s 85, and still embroidering and cross stitching and some of her work will feature here. She is a prolific stitcher but I have to make things up into something, perhaps to share with you.

I also patchwork and quilt, and I am very proud to be part of the Quilts for Care Leavers movement. We make patchwork quilts that are gifted to young people who have been in the care system. Each quilt is a hug for them.
