Heritage craft pole-lathe turner turning lush object for everyday use and delight.

The story began a long time ago when I lived in the high French Pyrenees mountains. There was no electricity and if you wanted to survive you had to learn how to make things the old fashioned way.

This is where I discovered a strong resourcefulness and a playful eagerness to create things for everyday life with my hands and my tools. Life in the mountains is tough but beautifully rewarding and richly inspiring.

It is this initial experience that led my way into professional woodwork. I call them my formative years.

I moved to the stunning Lake District in the north of England bringing my new found passion, draw-knife and spokeshave, along. This is were I built my first pole-lathe and it is still going strong to the present day. I always knew I wanted to turn bowls on a pole-lathe and bowls only. I never even considered to turn spindles for chair legs and so on.

The life up in the mountains is still within me and is reflected in what I make. Most of my products are utilitarian in nature and should last a long time. I love the idea that became a reality; making useful, earth-friendly and beautiful wood-wares for everyday life.

Kitchen, dining table and living room are the spaces where I place most of my products. You will find nearly all those utensils that help you prepare and enjoy your food and aesthetically enhance you home.

I never mass produce, sometimes batch produce but most of the times I make items individually. My German nature and love for attention to detail, helps me to create solid quality products for you to bring into your life.
